On Friday, Lawrence Borura told Hivisasa.com during an interview that he has not been able to sell his tea leaves to a local buying centre because unknown people have been picking it.

"I don't know the people who have been raiding my tea farm to picking tea at my farm at night. I hire workers to help me pick but, in return upon reaching the farm we found all the tea in the farm picked," he said.

According to him, he is suffering huge losses given that he took a loan which he promised to repay by selling the tea leaves.

He called on whoever picking his tea at the farm to stop before a calamity falls in his or her family.

"For the last two months I have not been able to take the tea to a buying centre because all my tea in the farm is picked at night," he stated.

Henry Obwoge area chief confirmed the incident and assured that the probe has commenced nabbing the people who have been picking tea at Borura's farm.
