There was drama at Greenland bar within Nyamira town on Thursday night after a man was busted in the act with his friend’s girlfriend.
Witnesses said Isaiah Omete who hails from Gesore area convinced Agnes Moraa to meet him in a lodging where he pretended that he was to help her plan a wedding with her long-term boyfriend, Raphael Onchong’a.
“I saw Omete entering the bar with Moraa at 2 pm. I went to confirm what they were doing but, I could not find them seated taking a drink. I asked the bar attendant who told me that the two were booked in a room,” said Cleophas Oroo who knows both Omete and Moraa.
Oroo said Moraa has shown a lot of love for his fiancee in the past while Omete has been a good friend to Onchong’a.
In fact, Omete was to be the best man.
"I had to call Onchong’a since they refused to open the door of the room. Onchong’a came and we forced ourselves into the room. It was shocking to find Omete and Moraa naked,” Oroo recounted.
Onchong’a said he trusted Omete and he has been among the wedding committee members.
“There were plans to wed Moraa and Omete being my best friend is the wedding committee secretary. I am still shocked why he had to lure Moraa into sex,” said Onchong’a.
The bar attendants led by Edwin Borura said upon questioning the lady, she revealed that Omete has been seducing her secretly.
Area administrator, Francis Kimasu condemned the incident and said Omete was taken to Bwomboga private hospital for treatment following the injuries he sustained after a thorough beating.
