Kapseret lawmaker Oscar Sudi has said that the 2022 presidential race is predictable and its winner is already known.
Speaking in Trans Nzoia on Sunday, the vocal MP said that the race will openly be won by Deputy President William Ruto whose candidature is already in the public domain.
He predicted that the DP will manage to overcome all the hurdles being thrown in his way by his rivals, naming opposition leader Raila Odinga as one of them.
The lawmaker added that Ruto's smartness will enable him overcome all the blackmail and with hunt being employed to derail him, and will finally seat in the throne.
"These people have realised that Ruto is smart and ahead of them and they have turned to witch-hunt and blackmail. But Kenyans are with the DP and we are sure Ruto is the apparent heir of President Kenyatta,” he was quoted by the Standard.
The MP was speaking in the company of 14 other MPs in Tuigoin, Cherangany, under the leadership of Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.
The group which also included Laikipia Woman Rep Cate Waruguru, Caleb Kositany (Soi) Robert Pukose (Endebess) and Aisha Jumwa (Malindi) also asked Raila to retire from politics.
Sudi dismissed Raila's claims that Ruto's integrity is questionable, terming the narrative a plot to soil his name with an intention of blocking him from the Statehouse.
