Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama are close political buddies.
Kalonzo and Muthama are also vocal politicians in Ukambani and the country at large.
Political pundits have often said that the duo's political trust cannot be questioned.
On November 15, 2016 during a rally at Salama, Sultan Hamud, Makueni county, Wiper politicians led by Kalonzo allegedly branded Muthama a political mole.
The Wiper politicians claimed that Muthama was frustrating Kalonzo’s chances of being picked as NASA presidential flag bearer.
The politicians claimed that Muthama was working for Raila with the intentions of frustrating Kalonzo’s presidency.
Kalonzo, during the rally, attacked Muthama by saying, “If I lose the presidential race, it is Muthama who will have his trousers removed, as it happened in Parliament”
“I am fully aware of what you (Muthama) have been doing behind my back with Siaya Senator James Orengo to predetermine the outcome of NASA presidential nominations and deny me the ticket,” Muthama said.
The Wiper party was forced to hold a National Executive Council's crisis meeting to discuss allegations that Muthama was undermining Kalonzo.
The former senator rubbished the claims terming them malicious.
