A section of youths in Nandi county has come to the defence of Deputy President William Ruto following attacks from Mombasa governor Hassan Joho.
In a video shared on Facebook, the youths have asked Joho to respect the Deputy President.
They further challenged the Mombasa county boss to focus on developing his county instead f attacking the DP.
One of the youths claimed he recently visited Mombasa county and realized that the governor was doing poorly in matters development.
"We want to tell you (Joho) openly that work in your county. We, in Nandi, know you wake up daily with accusations. This won't help you, my brother," said one of the youths in the video.
The youths asked the ODM deputy party leader to allow other leaders to work for their electorate noting that Kenyans will vet them.
They further said DP Ruto will be president in 2022 and asked that he be respected.
"Hon Joho, your league compared to Ruto's, you are still young. William Ruto is playing super league but for yours is political quarrel league. Please respect William Ruto," said another youth.
Joho has been on the receiving end since he said DP Ruto can never be president and that his party leader Raila Odinga had tasked him to fight his 2022 presidential ambitions.
