A young girl has become the centre of attention on Facebook after a video of her singing along to a popular Gikuyu song emerged.
In the viral 1-minute video, the girl dressed in pink is seen singing and dancing passionately to Jose Gatutura’s song called ‘Tuirio Twega’ which loosely translates to ‘good food’.
What excited Kenyan social media users more was the young girl’s mastery of the song’s lyrics despite the fact that the content of the song seems not to match with her age.
“I also wondered if she understands what she's singing...so cute though.....and hilarious!!!” A Facebook user under the name of Chiru Wamba commented on the video.
The unidentified girl attracted a lot of admiration from the Facebook users with a section of people requesting for the young girl’s talent to be nurtured.
“She is a good dancer, they should not let the talent disappear,” Mbugus Mutherus Mwenyewe noted on the comment section.
The song narrates the story of a man who was left by his lover after 10 years of engagement. The lady then leaves the man in the village to go to the ‘big city’ where she falls in love with another man who lures her using sweet food (Tuirio Twega).
