Popular Kenyan musician Akothee on Saturday took to her Instagram page to mourn the death of a woman who had died while begging for help from the musician.
Earlier on, Akothee had revealed in a separate Instagram post that she had met the woman, Marita Asekon Loya, while in Turkana for the Akothee Foundation project. On her recent return to Turkana, Akothee went to visit her but unfortunately, she greeted with the sad news of her death.
The mother of five revealed in her Instagram post that she was forced to attend the burial as she familiarized with how hard it was to be a single mother, especially one that does not have a family like Marita.
She also recounted her past happy moments with the deceased where they had shared their personal experiences with each other.
"Now you know why I had to get myself a burial place 😭😭 being a single mother is not easy! The only people with your back is your family! single mothers should not die! Marital Asekon is being laid to rest today!
"Well, I tried to catch up with her upon her call but I came late 😭😭! We had a good laugh of how we counted how many men fathered us! I laughed so hard when she said all her children are from different fathers! They got her pregnant and she kept the babies," part of Akothee's Instagram post read.
