Likoni Member of Parliament Mishi Mboko has fired a warning at Kandara lawmaker Alice Wahome over her recent comment suggesting that ODM leader Raila Odinga is a 'political mercenary for hire'
In her press conference in Malindi, the Kandara MP attacked President Uhuru Kenyatta after alleging that he is Kenya's biggest threat to democracy and freedom of speech.
She further accused the former Prime Minister for allegedly trying to aid the President in fulfilling his political ambitions once his presidential term comes to an end while calling him "political mercenary for hire"
However, while telling off Wahome, the fiery Mboko said that Raila is a respectable leader who should never be called a mercenary.
She further challenged the beleaguered Kandara legislator to focus her energy serving her constituents.
" Instead of her dealing with issues that matter most, taking care of the welfare of people of Kandara...I warn you Alice Wahome, stop calling Raila 'mercenery'... Raila Odinga is not a mercenary. Raila Odinga is a leader who is respected in Kenya, worldwide: America, Africa, Europe, Asia and all over. Don't think Raila Odinga is a person you can call names as you wish," said the ODM MP.
For the past few days, Wahome has been under pressure amid calls for her to apologize over her comments. She has, however, vowed never to make any apologies.
