Just hours to his death, popular comedian Joseph Mochere vehemently dismissed allegations that he was involved in multiple love affairs.
A day before that, Mochere, popularly known as Okebiro O'Mose, had reportedly confronted his wife, brother and two children with a knife.
With the wife scampering for safety at their rural home, he would later resort to strangling himself to death.
Inside his single-room house at Imara Daima, he left behind a protest suicide note that directly blamed his wife, Teresa Moraa.
“I have been patient enough but you have been stressing me for nothing. Take those children and look for another father who is not immoral and who has never seduced any lady. Goodbye," read the note.
Also, the note reads, his wife had blocked his phone calls and text messages when perhaps he tried to reach her for reconciliation.
Back at his backyard, fans and family are yet to come to terms with some even relating his woes to poor pay at Egesa FM, which though insists he was a casual.
He first went on air in 2016, despite his close links with the Royal Media station from 2009.
