Isiolo Woman Representative Rehama Jaldesa has pleaded with residents to register and get the Huduma Namba.
Speaking when she led the registration exercise in Isiolo Town on Wednesday, the Woman Rep said the Namba will help Kenyans easily access government services.
She asked residents to ignore propaganda being spread about the Namba.
“It is a good thing and I encourage every citizen to take advantage of the remaining days to get the Namba,” Jaldesa said.
The legislator noted that the Huduma Namba will be important for Kenyans from the pastoralist communities whom she claimed have been neglected for years as the majority of people in pastoralist areas don’t have access to crucial government services.
Jaldesa at the same time called on local chiefs to sensitize residents and have them get the Namba.
The Huduma registration is ongoing countrywide and is expected to end on May 18.
On Monday, Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Fred Matiang’i said the registration will not be extended but stated that the exercise will be a continuous process as local chefs will remain with the registration kit.
By mid-day Monday eight Million Kenyans had registered.
