Just barely 10 months ago, the two senior Kisumu politicians were close allies even as their "Team Kali" campaign team cruised to victory. But their friendship was shot lived. And the recent sacking of Kisumu Chief of Staff Patrice Ouya, a key Outa ally, sealed the duo's relationship. But Outa is not going down easy and has promised to fight back after Prof. Nyong'o's ' betrayal'.

"Our aim was to give Kisumu the best. Ranguma is my brother but I campaigned against him because I was not after my personal interests. I invested my resources for this cause, but I have been accused of over indulging in county affairs. But consequences are coming," the vocal Senator was quoted by the Standard.

The Governor has always dismissed claims of bad blood between him and the Senator. However, irrespective of who is speaking the truth, interesting political times lie ahead.

Outa's announcement only means that Kisumu is set for a tough battle as the Senator commands a huge following in the county.
