President Uhuru Kenyatta has already landed in Kisumu to lead the official launch of the pilot phase of the Universal Health Coverage Program in Mamboleo.
The Head of State landed at the Kisumu International Airport (KIA) at about 11:30am in the company of First lady Margaret Kenyatta.
They were aboard a Kenya Air force plane, and were received by Deputy President William Ruto, and ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga.
He headed straight to Ahero, where his motorcade will snake to the Mamboleo Show Grounds past various stopovers among them Nyamasaria, and Kondele.

8. Rachael Omamo – Cabinet Secretary for Defense
10. Cecily Kariuki - Cabinet Secretary for Health
11. Rashid Echesa - Cabinet Secretary for Sports
Other leaders who were present at the event include; Women Reps; Rosa Buyu (Kisumu) and Gladys Wanga (Homabay) and Muhoroni legislator Onyango Oyoo.
It is the first official visit for the Head of State in Kisumu since the March 09, 2018 handshake with Odinga.
The pilot phase of the Universal Health Coverage program is being implemented in Kisumu, Nyeri, Isiolo and Machakos counties before being rolled over to other counties across the country.
