Angry traders argued that matatu operators have been parking their vehicles in the market something they said is affecting their businesses negatively.

"PSV operators are misplacing us each and every day because Ongwae's government has failed to open up the stage for matatus. We are appealing to the county boss to move with speed and open the stage so that our businesses can continue running smoothly," said Evelyn Nyanchama.

Milkah Nyaboke said on Sunday a lorry lost control and nearly killed traders in the market.

"Some of us could be dead because a lorry on Sunday lost control veered off the road before ending up in the market. Ongwae should be quick in opening the matatu stage before we are killed by vehicles," she noted.

Gladys Mang'aro protested that Ongwae has ignored traders since he was declared a winner in the August 8, 2017 polls.

"We voted for Ongwae but, he has gone into hiding. He has never stepped at Keumbu market. Did we mess up with Ongwae? Let him publicly tell us why he has neglected us," she pleaded.
