At the interview on Citizen TV, Kutuny fired back at Murkomen, revealing how he used his own resources to propel him to senate in 2013.

"It's okay but I also picked you from streets and made you senator! My wife bought you a car and we used to send you upkeep money weekly."

The two had differed on the current stalemate facing maize farmers with Kutuny accusing Murkomen of allegedly working with cartels to steal at the expense of poor farmers.

Seemingly still annoyed with Kutuny revelation, Murkomen took on twitter to invite Kutuny sarcastically for tea on Thursday.

"Those of you who sent Mpesa money to me over 10 years ago through your spouses and you have faithfully kept the messages since then, tukutane pale Java 4pm tukunywe ☕️," he wrote.https://twitter.com/kipmurkomen/status/1068048567187775488?s=19.

While Murkomen insists that Kutuny is being used by Baringo senator Gideon Moi to undermine DP William Ruto, the latter insists that he's only concerned about the welfare of farmers.

The Kutuny led team has accused Deputy President William Ruto of orchastrating maize farming stalemate that had seen several farmers supply maize without receiving money.
