Recent unfolding of events especially after the handshake have landed close DP Ruto's associates in trouble with netizens.
This is after a popular hashtag #CongratulationsMheshimiwa on social media sites like Twitter trended on Wednesday due to their untimely campaigns for 2022 succession politics instead of focusing on developing their regions.
The legislators commonly targeted include Moses Kuria of Gatundu South, Kimani Ichung'wa of Kikuyu, and Ndindi Nyoro of Kiharu.
The satirical hashtag “praised” them for fulfilling their 2017 campaign promises and recommended them to actively go on with their campaigns for the year 2022.
The close allies who have been pushing as well as advocating for Ruto's political ambitions in media houses or in various social, religious and political events were the ones targeted with their images edited with a degree mortarboard on their heads and the ‘achievements’ they have fulfilled since coming into office.
Below their edited photos were the challenges unsolved in red backgrounds.
One Twitter thread read: “Your music makes us forget potholes, very good work. Now let's focus on 2022#CongratulationsMheshimiwa”.
This comes a few days after Uhuru and Ruto held a meeting for hours following claims by Murkomen that some State House operatives are working to achieve DP Ruto's political downfall.
