Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV on Tuesday, Okello said the head of State has proven that he has the will of Kenyans at heart.

He argued that Uhuru is ready to use different channels to ensure that Kenya is united before he leaves power.

He cited Uhuru’s stand on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) as one of the ways the president is using to unite the nation.

“He (President Uhuru Kenyatta) is using every available resource within his disposal to bring this nation together so that we can reason and work with great unity,” he said.

In the meantime, President Kenyatta has urged leaders to concentrate on matters of development. The head of state has insisted that he will not allow leaders to politick when they are supposed to engage in matters of development.

On Sunday, Uhuru said he gets angry when he sees some leaders acting in a stupid manner.

"I get angry when I see stupidity. When you see how some leaders are doing and talking you wonder if they are living in Kenya. We do not want to hear about tomorrow. (Nakasirika nkiona ujinga. Ukiona vile wengine wanafanya na vile wanaongea unashindwa kama wananishi Kenya hii. Hatutaki ya kesho jameni, tuambie ya leo)" Uhuru said in the video.
