The 14-member taskforce which was picked by President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga is yet to hand over the document to the president, weeks after concluding its job.

The governor now says that the document should be released early enough to allow the public enough time to look into it and understand it's suggestions.

"The BBI report must be released at the right time to give it ample time for engagement with the public," she said in an interview on Citizen TV on Tuesday night.

The county boss who has declared full support for both the Raila-Uhuru truce and the handshake said that she too is awaiting the document and is ready for the outcome.

She noted that she is will be willing to follow whatever changes Kenyans want included, and will support whichever avenue they pick as the best to implement the proposed amendments.

"I do not have a preference. I will follow whatever changes Kenyans will want made on the constitution, whether through a referendum or parliament," she added.

However, the BBI is facing opposition from some Jubilee politicians, who have raised suspicions that the BBI team is being used by power-hungry persons to create slots for themselves.

They have largely named Raila as the main culprit, despite Uhuru's numerous assurances that the BBI has no political dimensions, but to enhance peace and national unity and healing.
