Many people, young and adults, have been consuming alcohol as a way of reducing their life stress, which is not only harmful to one's health, but also not a long remedy to the problem.

A study has shown that washing dishes when stressed up is good thing to do for it greatly relieves you. 

The study involved a sample of 51 college students engaging in either a mindful or control dishwashing practice before completing measures of mindfulness, affect, and experiential recall.

Half of the sample were given notes on how to be mindful while washing, which included being focused on the smell of the soap, water temperature and touching the dishes, while the other half were only given instructions on how to wash the dishes.

Researchers found that mindful dishwashers reported a decrease in nervousness by 27 percent and an increase in mental inspiration by 25 percent.

The control group which was only exposed to washing procedures, didn't experience any benefits after the washing.

It is therefore good for both men and women, to do the dishes on arrival at home after a long day at your stressful workplace instead on going right away to bed.
