They say a friend in need is a friend in deeds and that was manifested in undying relationship between Dennis Itumbi and his long time friend Jacque Maribe.
Bonded with plutonic love, at least according to them, Mr. Itumbi, the State House secretary digital in the communications department, has been praying for Maribe's release from police custody.
The renowned TV anchor along with her fiance Joseph Irungu, were arrested in connection with the death of business woman Monica Kimani whose lifeless body was found at her Kilimani apartments in September.
"It has always been said and I agree that, 'The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice'.
"Though it tarries, be sure that Justice will be done my dear friend Jacque Maribe So shall it be done for Monica and Family. So, graciously hear me Lord," Itumbi’s tweet read.
Just after tweeting, Itumbi along with TV host Kambua were pictured at Milimani Law Courts in solidarity with their embattled colleague.
At the court, after embracing Maribe, Itumbi was seen extending his hand to Irungu, the prime suspect in the controversial murder.
The two love birds will know the fate of their bail application on Wednesday when they appear before Justice James Wakiaga.
Last week, local media reported that Ms. Maribe could not see anyone at Lang'ata Women prison because she was 'in low spirits'.
