Fiery lawyer Miguna Miguna has questioned President Uhuru Kenyatta and AU high representative for infrastructure development Raila Odinga's trip to China.
The two leaders are currently attending the Second Belt and Road forum for international cooperation. They will also among other things, negotiate for Sh368 billion loan from the Chinese government to extend the Standard Gauge Railway from Naivasha to Kisumu.
However, Miguna wondered two leaders went to China to sign a deal for avocados to be sold to the Chinese market or negotiate for another loan.
This is after Uhuru sealed a deal with China that will see Kenya export avocados to China. China consumes avocados in large scale.
"Did Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga use tens of millions of shillings of public money to travel to China in order to sell Murang'a avocados to the Chinese?" he posed.
Murang'a is one of the counties in Kenya where avocado farming has gone a notch higher and it is now the country's largest producer of the commodity.
President Uhuru also witnessed the signing of an agreement on economic and technical cooperation covering all sectors of mutual interest.
Besides exporting avocados, Kenya will also export other agricultural products to the Asian country.
