Coming amid reports from Controller of Budget that the wage bill has increased by 87.1 per cent in the last quarter and unnecessary foreign travels, the Nyamira County boss is struggling to stamp his authority.

And in the ongoing elections of Council of Governors Chairperson and Vice Chair, residents trolled Nyagarama even though he's not among those contesting.

"He can't even win cattle dip chairman position. No wonder he's not even among those contesting. He can't bring anything substantive on the table," argued Duke Aunga.

Another user Dennis Onyiego said: "He can only be a chairman of launching cabbages. He's a disappointment with his graft attitude. He belongs to Kamiti. Basically he can't win CoG even if he contests alone."

With Governor Josephat Nanok's tenure ending today, he's set to compete with Jackson Mandago, Wycliffe Oparanya and Kisumu county boss Prof Anyang Nyong'o who is however ailing.

In the CoB report however, despite the fierce criticism directed towards Nyagarama, be managed to increase revenue collection by 22 per cent in the last quarter, a tremendous achievement in as many years.
