The embattled news anchor said she even read the news of Monica’s murder on TV during her presentation hour after the body of the deceased was discovered.

Showed with the love of family members and the presence of a protective father, Maribe gave detectives a blow to blow side of her story.

To start with, she confessed the man suspected to have murdered Kimani is her fiancé whom they met early this year and later asked for her hand in marriage.

She also said they have been living at her house in Royal Park estate in Lang’ata.

Maribe said she did not know the deceased whatsoever.

And about the suspect having marauding with a gun, Maribe said she once came across the gun in her house but told Irungu to 'never come with it again'.

The Royal Media Services employee also confessed that the Toyota Allion often used by Irungu is hers.

She said she had allowed him to drop and pick her at work as he uses the car on other errands.

It is, however, not yet clear whether the sassy media girl gave a convincing statement on how her lover was allegedly shot and thereafter accompanied him to several hospitals around the city and in Kiambu county.

Earlier there were reports that after Irungu was ‘shot’, Jacque rushed him to two city hospitals as well as to Kijabe Mission hospital.

Kijabe hospital if in Kiambu county, more than 60 kilometres from Nairobi.

After grilling at the Kilimani DCI offices, the journalist was told to record more statements at the DCI headquarters.
