Starehe MP Charles Njagua's father, David Kanyi has been allowed to auction property of the Nyeri Water and Sewerage Company.
This after the firm failed to compensate Kanyi Sh672,000.
Nyeri Senior Principal Magistrate Phillip Mutua dismissed an application for temporary injunction filed by the company seeking to stop Mr Kanyi from inviting auctioneers to attach and sell its property.
In September 2017, the court directed that Mr Kanyi was to be paid Sh672,000 as compensation after he fell and broke his leg in a manhole owned by the corporation.
According to the court, the water firm had neglected the two-foot deep manhole in Nyeri town and failed to erect warning signs.
Kanyi who was represented by lawyer Muhoho Gichimu told the court that the incident occurred on October 1, 2008, at 7.30pm behind Homage building.
