Narck party leader Martha Karua on Tuesday came out to put the record straight as to why she applies makeups.
This was after a Twitter user asked why the former Gichugu Member of Parliament had abandoned the African culture and instead adopted the western culture where she applies lipstick and wears earrings.
“Martha Karua I have been asking myself why you apply lipsticks and earrings and abandon our culture,” asked Ibrahim @Chief Joker.
This question wasn’t received lightly by the former presidential candidate, Martha Karua.
She came out guns blazing to defend her love for lipsticks and wearing of earrings.
“Explain the clothes you wear and this medium of communication! Culture is dynamic and should not be selectively used to oppress women! The entire society is moving with the flow!” replied Martha Karua.
According to Martha Karua, there is no need to limit women on what they should wear when everyone else is deeply sunk in the western culture way of life.
She is not the only leader who uses lipstick or wears earrings.
Many other leaders use the two to make themselves look beautiful.
