Ford Kenya supremo Moses Wetangula has said a number of times that the National Super Alliance is as good as dead.

"NASA is now, in my view, a moribund organisation. NASA is history. And for us we always say those who ignore history run the risk of repeating it," Wetangula said.

Scrutiny of Wetangula's words reveals naked untruths.

NASA is not history as no constituent party has officially written to the registrar of political parties asking for a withdrawal.

Moreover, one political getting out cannot kill the coalition as at least three have to withdraw.

Speaking in Strathmore, Kalonzo maintained that NASA was still alive and well, contradicting Wetangula's contentions.

In Western, Mudavadi also denied that the NASA coalition was dead.

"NASA has its own challenges. For NASA to be dissolved, three parties have to write saying that they have withdrawn. I am not aware that there is a political party that has written to the registrar of political parties. We don't want the opposition to die," Mudavadi said, sharply contradicting Wetangula's contention.
