Japanni took to her Facebook account to rebuke the song and attack Betty Kyallo for dancing to the controversial song.

“How do I even back announce this song on-air???? Support Kenyan music activists leteni opinions na mawe.. @bettymuteikyallo what's there to dance to? NON..NON..NONSENSE!!!” posted Japanni

This video emerged in a time Kenyan musicians are pushing for Kenyan songs to be played by Kenyan DJs, radio and TV presenters.

However, in quoting the “MITI” song as an example, Massawe Japanni asked fans to tell her how she will introduce the song over the radio.

She was just wondering why Khaligraph started the #PlayKenyaMusic campaign yet he is on the forefront in purveying songs with poor content.

In his opinion, Papa Jones, also known as the OG, Kenyan radio and TV presenters were giving priority to Tanzanian and Nigerian songs, and that its time they start supporting Kenyan music.

Khaligraph Jones and K24 TV anchor Betty Kyallo had both shared this video on their social media pages.
