According to information in circulation, Irungu dropped out in form three at Langalanga Secondary school. 

Records in the admission book show that Jowie had been a pupil at the famous Carol Academy in Racetrack estates where he sat his Kenya Certificate of Primary Examinations (KCPE) and scored 298 marks out of the possible 500. 

Teachers at Langalanga allege that he was a good student who liked entertainment more than anything else. 

It is not clear how Jowie transformed therebetween to become the person he is today. 

He is currently facing murder charges against businesswoman Monica Kimani.
