Education Cabinet Secretary, Ms Amina Mohammed on Monday surprised the nation with the early release of 2018 KCPE examination. Soon after the release, candidates, teachers, and parents flocked their schools to check on their performances and those of their pupils respectively.
While releasing the results, Education CS only announced the leading candidates leaving the rest to check from their performance from their respective schools. However, we can now reveal the list of top five schools in Garissa county;
1. Sunshine Academy
This was the leading school in the KCPE 2018 examinations.
The school had an enrollment of 26 candidates, scoring a mean mark of 357.
2. Mnara Junior Academy
The school featured second after Sunshine Academy, with a mean mark of 336 and a total enrollment of 30 candidates.
3. Abu-Ubeyoa Private
This school had a total enrollment of 35 candidates, with a mean score of 327 marks.
4. Bushra Academy
At the fourth position countywide, this school scored a mean of 306 marks with an enrollment of 21 pupils sitting for the 2018 KCPE exams.
5. Al-Hakim
Closing the top five schools, Al-Hakim school scored a mean of 305 marks after fronting 31 pupils who successfully sat for the 2018 national exams.
