Popular Ohangla sensation Jack Nyadundo has finally come clear on the man behind of his fame and nationwide recognition.
Speaking in Nyahera, Kisumu County on Saturday, the 'Ayaki Mayaka' hitmaker attributed his success to fallen Nyatiti legendary musician Ayub Ogada.
He was speaking during the burial of Ogada who died on February 1, narrating how the latter mentored him.
"If it were not for Ogada, I would not be famous,” he was quoted by the Standard.
He narrated how Ogada organized and made his first concert in Zambia by raising funds towards the realisation of the event.
He is now urging the state to take stern measures to nurture and support young and upcoming talents.
Ogada was discovered dead in his home in Nyahera on a material day and is said to have succumbed to spinal complications.
Other musicians who attended the burial brought with them their musical instruments in a show of solidarity and salutation to the fallen hero.
Jack is the brother to another Ohangla sensation Tony Nyadundo who is largely known for his Mapenzi Kizunguzungu and Ndoa Ya Machozi hits.
