Judith Wandera had been found guilty of sexually assaulting the sixteen-year-old boy, and was back in court on Thursday for the hearing of her appeal against the court.

The ruling was handed out last year by Principal Magistrate Joan Wambiliyanga who found her guilty of committing the crime against the class-seven pupil.

However, the Kisumu High Court threw out her appeal after the judge hearing the case insisted that the ruling was very lenient basing on the magnitude of the offence done.

Justice Fred Ochieng' maintained that the sentence was very lawful and the appeal lacked merit, before upholding the initial ruling.

“The conviction was done under the law. The appeal is dismissed and has no merit,” the Judge ruled, reports the Standard.

Ochieng dismissed the convict's claims that the particulars in the charge sheet used by the lower court to jail her were not penetrative.

Wandera wanted the ruling annulled, claiming that the charge sheet was defective.

However, the verdict seems to have deeply troubled Wandera's mother leading to her fainting within the corridors of the court.

The relationship between the two began in 2016 when the two met at a drinking joint in Kondele Estate, and were days later a couple.

According to the boy's parents, he ditched school and crossed over to the woman's house before his rescue in June 2017.
