Deputy President Dr William Ruto on Saturday revealed why he attends fund drives and dishes out millions of money.
DP Ruto while speaking at Gusii Stadium in Kisii County said he donates money because he is blessed.
"I don't organize the fund raising events. I'm only invited by organizers donate what God has blessed me with," he said.
He wondered why his political rivals have been questioning why he attends fund drives to contribute with other leaders.
"Does it mean that I should stop attending fund drives when I'm invited because of my rivals? Several questions will come up if I will not attend fund drives," he stated.
Dr Ruto also interacted with students from Nyanchwa Girls High school and Nyanchwa Boys High school and encouraged them to work hard in studies.
"Without proper education this country will not have competent leaders. Learners need to work hard in studies to excel and build good future lives," he added.
DP Ruto warned parents against condoning their children at home during school time
"Local chiefs should not allow learners loiter in villages during school time," he added.
