Raila has been seen to make close links with governors Alfred Mutua (Machakos), Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Charity Ngilu (Kitui) lately, as well as Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga).

Aladwa, has defended the relationship which has been questioned by Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi, who had doubted the integrity of Raila's new friends.

"I have heard a person questioning Raila's union with Kibwana, but when your cloth becomes dirty you take it off. We are planning ahead (Nimesikia mwingine akisema ati mara ooh, ameona Kibwana na Raila. Nguo kama ni chafu unatoa, na sisi tunapanga mbele)," he said.

He spoke on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi show, also attended by this predecessor Bernard Mutura, politician Brian Weke and political analyst Ruth Amboko.

The vocal lawmaker called upon all politicians to join hands with Raila, suggesting that those in rival camps might have it politically tough going forward.

He added that Raila is in the process of coming up with a major alliance, one which will completely change the nation's political arena in the coming days.

"The people in these bad factions are set for suffering. The safina has left and people will get in in twos (Wale wako kwa hii mirengo mbaya mbaya watapata taabu. Safina imetoka na watu wataingia wawili wawili)," he added.

The remarks come at a time when the gap between Raila and his National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principals seems to be widening, and exchanges taking over.

The parties; ODM, ANC, Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) and Ford Kenya have also been locked in a fight over the political parties fund, currently being held by ODM.

At the same time, the entry of the Ukambani governors has been seen as Raila's way of mocking and discarding WDM leader Kalonzo Musyoka, the Ukambani kingpin.
