Unemployment is becoming an issue of great concern in Kenya. Many young people remain jobless making them the devil's workshop.
Avoid falling prey to the following evils and instead make yourself busy.
1. Drugs
Many young people seek consolation from drugs after frustrations in life. Many are university graduates who indulge in alcoholism after becoming jobless. However, drugs only make the situation worse and recovering from addiction is an uphill task.
If you found yourself jobless, think of something constructive to do like starting a small project instead of getting into drug use.
2. Spending all day playing pool table
Games such as pool table are common within town centres for the idling young population. Such games are time wasting and only reduce growth and development.
3. Betting
Betting has consumed a majority of youth who are duped into a mentality of quick riches. Many are times when you bump into young people glued onto their phones as they place bets. This trend has left many becoming dumb instead of thinking outside the box on how they can create opportunities.
4. Political hirings
Most youths are used by politicians or influential persons to take part in riots and protests along the streets. From this, they are given 'something small' to cater for their needs.
Young people must desist from this trend as politicians are out to only achieve their selfish needs.
