After months of waiting, Governor John Nyagarama has finally reorganised his cabinet in the latest changes for effective service delivery.
In a brief statement to the media, the ODM Nyamira County patron said the changes done would be effected immediately, adding that the names have already been gazetted.
The changes saw powerful Public Service Management minister Johnstone Obike moved to less Influential Trade and Tourism ministry that was initially held by Finance Minister Peter Muga.
"Mr Johnstone Obike will move from Public Service Management to Trade and Tourism while Youth and Gender minister Bernard Osumo will replace him.
"These changes are geared towards improving service delivery in our county. I urge all those in affected departments to familiarize themselves to the new changes which take effect immediately," read the statement.
With the retired principal Mr Osumo moving to Public Service Management, the Youth and Sports docket remain unfilled following the resignation of former Finance boss Jackline Kemunto.
But one Pauline Oyugi, a sister-in-law to the govenor, is likely to assume the seat after her name was forwarded to the assembly for vetting.
However, the assembly Selection Committee is said to have rejected the name over integrity issues but a source within the assembly says MCAs have been bribed to salvage the situation.
"She is likely to go through. Several MCAs have been paid by her that's why she's likely to assume the sports docket. It's a sad situation."
