A child who was treated and supposed to be discharged at Kenyatta Hospital has been confined to a hospital bed.
The baby, Joy Blessing aged 2 has been forced to stay in hospital due to failure by her parents to pay the hospital Bill amounting to Sh168,000.
She was hit by a bodaboda has been detained in Room 7 ward 44A.
The Mother of the child is appealing for help since she's unable to offset the bill.
“I am grateful that my daughter has recovered, but I cannot leave the hospital. She is very playful and I am afraid she will contract more diseases, ”Ms Mmochi said.
“Sharing of bed is not good for those whose wounds have not healed. I am appealing to the hospital to release my daughter as I look for money to pay them,” said the 24-year-old mother.
She is further worried that the condition of the child will detoriate due to the poor environment the child has been confined
