With just one week for determination of his bail application, Migori Governor Okoth Obado is said to be 'calm and collected' at Industrial Area prison.
The second term governor along with his aides Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero are accused of murdering Sharon Otieno and her unborn baby last month.
Former Kakamega Senator Bonnie Khalwale, returned to Industrial Area prison on Tuesday to check on Obado, whom he terms as a true friend.
"I have this afternoon been to Industrial Area Remand Prison visiting Gvn Obado of Migori County. Found him calm, measured & collected.
"The criminal justice system owes all n sundry 100% fidelity to the truth based on evidence & the law. May Sharon & her unborn baby RIP," he wrote.
Mr. Obado has vehemently denied claims that he coordinated the murder of Sharon, who was his girlfriend before her death, adding that he was ready to take care of the unborn baby.
Prosecutors believe that Mr. Obado was at the crime scene with evidence from key witnesses and phone call data proving the same.
Sharon Otieno will be buried on Friday at her grandfather's home in Magare village after the family said it's satisfied with the progress by the detectives in a bid to nail suspects.
