Kisii County Governor James Ongwae has lauded EACC for arresting corrupt officers working at the Kisii Lands registrar office.
The County boss said his administration does not condone corruption.
"I am happy that EACC has intensified war on graft. The complains residents have been raising have not be addressed. The officers serving residents at the Lands office should be satisfied with their salaries and not demand bribes," he said.
He condemned the Lands Registrar Steve Mokaya for failing to fight corruption at the office.
"Mokaya promised to fight graft when he was deployed at the Lands registry but, what we have been seeing from his end is the opposite," said Ongwae.
The ODM governor called on EACC officers to keep a close watch on county officers especially county revenue collecting officers.
"EACC is free to investigate and nab any county worker engaging in corruption including me. Corruption is an enemy to development and the vice must be fought in this county," he added.
Speaking on Wednesday at Nyatieko area in Kitutu Chache South, the governor urged traders not to pay bribes to county officers issuing business licenses.
