Renowned businessman Don Bosco Gichana has claimed that local politicians are plotting to block him from returning home after languishing in a Tanzanian jail for five year.
Mr. Gichana claimed that local politicians are using police officers to frustrate him.
"Local politicians are using police to block me from accessing Kisii town and Gusii stadium for my grand return ceremony," he said.
Mr. Bosco further accused Kisii County commissioner Godfrey Kigochi for declaring his grand return illegal.
"Kisii County commissioner has denied us permission to set a public address system. He claims on security grounds the function won't proceed," he said in a Facebook post.
He added; "He(the commissioner) was over heard saying I should go perform the function in Marani. I ask him not to be used by local politicians to settle scores. We shall storm Kisii and the last thing I fear is arrest. I fear only death be informed".
Gichana has a massive support especially among the youths and he is expected to give a section of politicians a run for their money in 2022.
