Confirming the incident, area chief Lawrence Omari said the trouble started when Emily Kerubo dumped garbage at Ben Morang'a's compound.

"Morang'a was angered after Kerubo dumped garbage at his clean compound. Upon questioning her, she insulted him something that prompted him to beat her up," said Omari.

The chief said Kerubo fainted and was taken to hospital.

"Kerubo was taken to Nyatieko Dispensary by neighbours after she fainted while Morang'a fled home after neighbours threatened to attack him," stated the administrator.

He said Kerubo's husband was not at home when the incident occurred.

Omari urged villagers to live in peace adding that he won't tolerate unnecessary fights in his area of jurisdiction.

In a separate incident in the same village, a man descended on his mother with kicks and blows accusing her of chasing his wife from home.

Confirming the incident, Omari noted that Jackline Kwamboka sustained injuries on her head which were inflicted by her son Stephen Mongarora.

The chief said Kwamboka was treated at Nyatieko dispensary and later discharged, while the suspect has gone into hiding.
