These subscribers put Ndambuki’s show above other local programs like Real House Helps of Kawangware, Africa Movies, and Njugush which have 166,374, 116,162 and 118, 306 subscribers respectively.

Other celebs in the entertainment industry are far behind Churchill. Sauti Sol band has an encouraging 256,659 subscribers while Vera Sidika’s ex-lover Otile Brown stands at 120,407 subscribers. On his part, rap king Octopizzo has 100, 982 compared to Willy Paul’s 176,649 subscribers. The melodious Nyashinski has 123, 431 subscribers. The higher the number of subscribers, the higher the chance of getting more views for one’s content.

YouTube offers an opportunity for users to join the YouTube Partner Program if one has 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours in one year. This offers successful applicants an opportunity to reach a global audience. Google revealed that 60% of YouTube Viewers are mostly from outside the creator’s home country.

Meanwhile, YouTube hosted Kenyan content creators and revealed that Kenyan internet usage has grown significantly. Dorothy Ooko, Google Kenya Africa PR Lead, said mobile usage has increased by 80 percent, making YouTube a great place to venture.
