Chebukati landed on the receiving side from opposition leaders after the side's presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga controversially lost to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi Saturday morning, Aladwa said that he has since developed despise for Chebukati who together with his team led to a rerun of the contest.

"Hata nikimwona kwenye runinga huwa nashindwa kuelewa shida yake ni gani (I am not even comfortable watching him on television)," said the close ally of Raila.

He went ahead to call for Chebukati ouster from the helm of the poll body, coming at a time when half of the commission has since exited the agency.

According to the parliamentarian who doubles up as Raila's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Chair in Nairobi county, the latter should do the honorable and avoid an embarrassing ouster by lawmakers.

"Anafaa aone aibu na ajiondoe. Iweje anakatalia kwenye kiti hats baada ya makamishna wengine kuondoka? Ajiondoe pia (let his vacate office like some of his commissioner, its a shame that he has stuck on the seat)," he added.

This comes at a time when a section of opposition lieutenants have been calling for a complete overhaul of the commission ahead of the 2022 polls.
