PIDA FC was crowned winners of the annual Nakuru Town East constituency inter-estate soccer tournament, during the final staged on Sunday at Bondeni's Kamukunji grounds.
After blowing off a first half penalty, PIDA recollected themselves to see off stubborn Flamingo FC 3 - 0 in an enthralling final that was watched by hundreds of people, led by the area MP David Gikaria.
Levit Leon scored the opener on the 60th minute, before man of the match Salim Muya added a second with five minutes to play.
Joshua Olume sealed the victory with a sublime strike on the stoppage time.
The tournament brought together teams across the five wards including; Biashara, Kivumbini, Flamingo, Menengai and Nakuru East.
Other sports were also played such as Volleyball, Basketball, Boxing, dancing and talent search.
The winners were awarded trophies, balls, uniforms, 32" Television flat screens, punching bag and a cash prize by the area MP.
In addition, every ward was given a whopping Sh400,000 to do business and desired project.
"I thank you for coming to display your talent and entertaining us. Let me not hear of complains by anyone regarding the money, that it did not reach the respective beneficiaries and winners," MP Nakuru Town East, David Gikaria said.
