Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri has hit out at the Jubilee government over alleged lack of democracy.
Speaking on Radio Jambo Monday evening, the lawmaker admitted no longer understanding the government's mode of operation.
He questioned it's sudden war on corruption, the many scandal revelations and the ongoing evictions in Mau Forest, terming them malicious.
"Hii serikali haina democracy. Iko na wenyewe na pia chama ya Jubilee ina wenyewe (the Jubilee party lacks democracy, it seems it has it's owners)," he said.
He wondered why the state is all of a sudden vigorous in its war on graft and environment conservation, despite having shelved the initiatives throughout its first tenure in office.
"Mimi nashangaa kuhusu haya mambo yanayoendelea sasa kama hizi scandal za ufisadi na mambo ya Mau. Mbona sasa ilhali Jubilee imekua serikalini tangu 2013 (why all this now when the government has been in power since 2013), he wondered.
This comes only days after Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen questioned the ongoing evictions, claiming that they are politically motivated.
This has since resulted to an apparent stalemate between the two factions of the government, with forces allied to Uhuru, led by party Secretary General Raphael Tuju maintaining that the operation will not be derailed.
