As 2022 politics take shape, Deputy President William Ruto has sacked his communication team over incompetence, a source has revealed.
The latest developments leaves spokesman David Mugonyi and Emmanuel Talam jobless.
To fill the gap, the source adds, Ruto will replace the duo and a host of DPPS team in two months time.
"I can confirm that the team has been disbanded over gross incompetence.
"They will be replaced in two months time. The DP is assembling a robust communication team," said the source.
Currently, Ruto is reportedly working with a team led by Dennis Itumbi, whose role as State House Digital Communication Director also remains in a limbo.
Over the past weeks, Itumbi, who has since moved to Harambee Annex, has been updating the DP's meetings online.
Mr. Mugonyi has worked for the DP since 2013 and usually issues statements on his behalf.
It is not clear however, what the team did that amounts to gross incompetence.
Former investigative journalist Nyambega Gisesa said reconstitution of DP's team was 'work on progress' in reference to ongoing recruitment.
