Ngilu says that public barbs being exchanged by Raila and Ruto’s allies is not good for the country’s unity.

Speaking at Ikanga trading center  in Kitui Town on Thursday, Ngilu asked politicians to focus on service delivery to Kenyans instead of wasting time exchanging ugly barbs.

“My message is to politicians allied to Raila and Ruto to stop creating unnecessary anxiety in the country and focus on serving Kenyans,” the Governor said.

Ngilu said that the debate on who will succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022 is not healthy at the moment.

“Kenyans want to see services being offered to them and not unending politicking,” she added.

The governor urged elected leaders to unite behind President Uhuru Kenyatta’s renewed war against graft.

He said that the fight against corruption should be the only topic at the moment. The Kitui governor also cautioned politicians against attempts to politicize the fight.

She dismissed claims that agencies involved in war against graft are targeting particular individuals or communities.

A section of politicians allied to Ruto and Raila has been trading barbs publicly over the recently concluded by elections in Ugenya and Embakasi South.

The Orange party lost the by-elections.
