A Jubilee elected MCA in Kisii County has sent a congratulatory message to President Uhuru Kenyatta after he extended the handshake to Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Ford Kenya party Moses Wetangula.
Caleb Ong'uti, Nyacheki ward MCA said the building bridges initiative should ensure exclusivity.
"I wish to congratulate President Uhuru Kenyatta for meeting Kalonzo and Wetangula. The historic handshake is working and the country shall continue moving on," he said.
He warned politicians against politicizing the meeting between Uhuru, Kalonzo and Wetangula saying this is not a time for politics.
The ward rep stated that divisive politics will divide Kenyans along political lines and therefore, leaders should not engage in hatred and politics of propaganda.
"Kenyans need to live together as brothers and sisters. Selfish politicians who will be out to incite Kenyans to fight each other with an aim of achieving a hidden agenda must be apprehended to be arraigned in court," he noted.
Mr. Ong'uti argued that the referendum being pushed by the former Prime minister should not benefit individuals but, Kenyans who are being burdened with huge taxes.
He was speaking in his ward on Tuesday evening.
