City lawyer Nelson Having has claimed that the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji is in the United States of America to search for another prosecutor.
According to the Sunday tweet, Khawar Qureshi performance in court was below par and disappointing.
Mr Havi went on to claim that his colleagues in the legal fraternity had been demoralised after being reduced to clerks, wondering what the country was looking for in a prosecutor.
"DPP is in the US to hire another graft prosecutor. Khawar Qureshi (QS)’s performance in Court disappointed those who had placed great expectations on him. It also demoralized our colleagues who were reduced to his clerks. What really, are we looking for in a competent prosecutor?" Nelson Havi's tweet read.
His hard-hitting tweet comes just days after the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions announced that the United States Justice Department was set to assign a senior US prosecutor in Kenya to help in fighting corruption.
"United States Justice Department is set to attach a Senior US Prosecutor to strengthen the ongoing anticorruption efforts. This was revealed by the US Deputy Attorney General, Bruce Swartz, during meeting with Kenyan delegation led by DPP.@USAmbKenya @USEmbassyKenya @DCI_Kenya," a tweet by the ODPP read.
