Governor John Nyagarama has released his first photo in as many months even as death rumours and his health continued to dominate social media.
For two months now, Nyagarama has been in the US for treatment leading to delay of his son, Ndemo Nyagarama's burial, who succumbed to acute meningitis last month.
Last week, county government released an official press statement which downplayed death rumours of the second term ODM governor.
"The governor is in good health and is now fit. He will be attending the burial of his son later on this month."
And on Sunday, Nyagarama's photo with his wife, Naomi, dominated social media with users excited of his 'classical romanticism' at the age of 74.
Amos Onsoti said: "The governor looks younger than many of us. He is fit and let us pray for his health."
On his part, George Momanyi added: "I am glad to see the governor. He looks handsome that ever. Those wishing him death should be ashamed."
In his absence, deputy governor Amos Nyaribo assumed all his roles but has also faced criticism of alleged victimisation of his 'political enemies'.
