Buzeki argued that the Jubilee Party does not represent the interests of the electorates but that of some few self-centred individuals.

"I decided to join CCM because I don't want a dictatorship party which does not believe in democracy, where the ideas of a few individuals carry the day. How can I belong to a party where I don't have any say," said Buzeki in Eldoret town on Sunday.

He reiterated that despite him supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2017 general elections, he has been sidelined by some individuals in the party who think they own the political outfit.

"It's sad that some politicians in the party perceive themselves as bigger than others. They have privatised the party," he added.

He also condemned the Jubilee Party leadership for not condemning leaders who were perpetrating tribal politics that could lead to post-election violence.

The politician said come 2022, he will use the Chama Cha Mashinani party which is a democratic party to contest for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat. He called on Uasin Gishu residents to support his bid.

Buzeki contested for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial post in 2017 but lost to the incumbent, Governor Jackson Mandago.
