At Muhoroni on Saturday, Uhuru hailed his unity deal with ODM leader Raila Odinga, adding that it will help bring together all Kenyans for the sake of development.

"Going forward, everybody must feel being part of government. We don't want a scenario where someone loses polls and he's left out. We must change this approach.

"That's why I came together with Raila so that all Kenyans join hands together for development. This winner takes it all method must be handled. Nobody should be left out of the government," Uhuru told mourners at Muhoroni on Saturday.

Lately, there have been calls to restructure the governance system with a section of political elites calling for introduction of Prime Minister post as a way of expanding the government.

While Uhuru has not openly advocated for the post, his ally, Raila Odinga, has often said an expanded executive would solve some of Kenya's historical problems.

Although at first he opposed referendum to expand the cabinet, Deputy President William Ruto has lately insisted that he has no problem with the parliamentary system of government.

"Let them bring it on. Whether presidential or parliamentary, we are ready for it. Nothing will stop us from going for the same," he said in reference to parliamentary system of government.
